It’s crazy to think that I am almost in my third trimester! On Tuesday, I will be 27 weeks pregnant! Part of me feels like it has flown by but then when I think back to when we found out, it seems like forever ago. I’ve had a lot of people asking how I have felt, and honestly…besides my stomach growing I haven’t felt much different at all. I have had zero sickness, which I am so grateful for. I have been able to continue doing all of my normal workouts (except hot yoga), and my food preferences have been pretty similar to before I was pregnant.
Since I haven’t shared an update since week 20, I wanted to fill you in at 26 weeks:
- Baby is the size of: Kale (14.0 inches, 1.68 pounds)
- Weight Gain: 13 lbs as of Week 26, Day 1. I feel like she has grown a lot this week, but I only weigh myself at the beginning of a new week just to be sure I’m on track, next weigh in will be this Tuesday at 27 weeks.
- Symptoms: I stay updated with common symptoms through The Bump App. The only ones I have had so far is leg cramps (this only happened one night, which kept me up most of the night and has made me more aware of stretching extra good after my workouts. Luckily they haven’t come back!) I have experienced some rib and back pain but noticed it’s mainly when I am sitting down. My work place gave me a standing desk which has helped a ton! Other than that, I have noticed some indigestion a couple of times (TUMS are a lifesaver), but it has only happened after doing exercises like planks, so I am trying to modify those!
- Nursery Update: If you follow along on Instagram Stories, then you may have seen my nursery mood board….
I feel like I have been pretty slack about preparing for baby, but we did start getting some nursery items in last week and will start working on putting everything together in the next few weeks! I can’t wait to get started and share the space with all of you! - Baby Name: I’ve been asked about this ALOT! We do have a name picked out but we are waiting to share it until she arrives!
- Food Cravings/ Aversions: I haven’t had a ton of cravings from what I typically eat but the one food I have wanted every single day is potatoes, any kind- baked, sweet, hash browns, fries, you name it! The only aversions I have had is more related to smell than taste: deviled eggs, any kind of smoked meat like bbq, and other meats. Other than that, send it my way.
- Workouts: I have been doing alot of Barre, Yoga and HIIT workouts. This week I am going to add in more weights and less HIIT with alot of impact. But I am so thankful I haven’t had to modify my workouts yet and they keep me feeling good and healthy.
