RUM DRINKS + 4TH OF JULY STYLE

I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July weekend! We stayed in town and had a cookout last night at my parents house with the family. I ended up making this delicious bacon wrapped stuff pepper appetizer from one of my favorite blog’s PaleOMG. It was a huge hit!! We enjoyed my dad’s specialty rum drink (recipe below) and sat out back watching the olympic trials and being entertained by my niece and nephew. It was relaxing and fun sitting around and catching up with family. Tonight we will head downtown to see the fireworks and grab a bite to eat! I hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday weekend.

Vinnie’s Rum Recipe:

 Mount Gay Rum

Orange Pineapple Banana Juice

Cinnamon Spice

Nutmeg

This recipe is so simple and reminds me of a day by the shore. I fill the glass with ice first, then fill half of a high ball glass with rum and equal parts Orange, Pineapple, Banana Juice. Top it off with a few sprinkles of cinnamon and nutmeg and you are good to go. It is da bomb, believe me. Make it, taste it, you won’t regret it!
