So here we are already at Week 2 for the One Room Challenge! If you are following along you already know that my designer, Frances Still of Kinloch Interiors and I have teamed up to tackle our dining room for the challenge.
As you can see from last week a lot has already changed since we started on the room (pictures of before here)…. First things first, the old wallpaper had to go immediately. We decided to paint the room a more neutral color that wasn’t too basic, we ended up with this gorgeous Farrow & Ball No.242 Pavilion Gray for the walls.
When we came across this amazing Ro Sham Beaux chandelier we knew it was the one. I had to have it for the room, so Frances and I decided to style the room around this lighting. I am also a huge fan of this Schumacher Queen of Spain fabric and we loved the emerald green color with the mint tone of the glass beads in the chandelier. These gorgeous drapes are now installed (yay!!!!)and we decided to go with gold hardware to give it a little pop against the walls.
So this is where we are this week:
Drapery Panels and Lighting have been installed! Which makes me very excited, I feel like that is 2 big things to check off our list. Here is what is to come in the next few weeks:
1. Dining Room Table + Bamboo Chairs (recover seats)
2. Find a perfect rug
3. Art Work + Wall Decor
4. Bar Cart + Accessories
5. China + Dining Table Decor
Looking forward to another fun week of transforming this happy space!
Make sure to follow along with all of the other participants at Calling it Home.
