I have learned from the past that I am a much more productive person throughout the day if I kick start my morning bright and early. When I say early, I mean my alarm goes off at 4:30AM and BOOM – out of bed just like that! Today, I wanted to share my top 5 morning habits that make my entire day successful and fulfilling.

Get Moving with A Morning Workout
These days with a full day at the office (8AM-5PM), I like to get my workout done first thing in the morning. I lay out my workout clothes the night before so I don’t have to search for them after I get up, this helps motivate me to get moving. I recently came across a new brand that is based out of Charlotte, North Carolina, K.Alley Lifestyle. When I saw the unique prints that are all created from the artwork of designer, Karen Alley, I immediately fell in love. I like that each item is unique and that they are not mass produced, so everyone in your yoga class won’t be wearing your exact leggings! Another reason I am currently obsessed is because these leggings are literally so comfortable I could sleep in them. These are my new go-to leggings for running because the fit is perfect (I’m in a size M), and they aren’t see through at all like some of the leggings I have come across, so they are great for any type of workouts (including squats and lunges).
A few other items I can’t live without in my workouts is my Apple Watch (Series 3|38mm) , a good pair of running shoes and my favorite water bottle where I can track my intake and stay hydrated!
Fuel Up with Healthy Nutrition
Since I workout first thing, I like to eat my breakfast or have my coffee right before I head out the door to work around 7:15AM. Earlier in the year I was doing the intermittent fasting on the Faster Way to Fat Loss Program, but since I found out I was pregnant I decided to fuel up with some healthy foods before heading to work and put a hold on the fasting part of the program. While fasting I would have a cup of cold brew coffee every morning with a splash of hazelnut nut pods. Now, I usually like to load up with an egg white omelette, some veggies and a slice of Dave’s Killer Bread. This holds me over until lunch time and jump starts my morning by giving me energy while giving my baby the nutrients she needs!
Create A To Do List + Knock it Out!
I have always been a huge fan of to-do lists because it helps keep me organized throughout the day. Also, I’m not gonna lie, it gives me joy when I can cross things off my list. My list is a mix of personal and work related goals and activities, I start with the most challenging tasks and put those at the top. These usually have the greatest impact on my day and absolutely have to get done! Having this list in front of me throughout the day helps me to stay on track and get the important things done so I won’t have to think about it tomorrow. This book is amazing and is the main reason I started my to do list.
Do Something that You Enjoy
I always make sure I have a little bit of time in the mornings, usually about 20 minutes, to do one thing that I enjoy. Some mornings I take my dog for a quick walk around the block, other days I sit on my porch and watch the morning news, and some mornings I stop at a local coffee shop on the way to work and sit down to enjoy my coffee. Whatever it is, it always brightens my day when I have a little extra time to do something that I love.

Don’t Be Rushed
The main reason I wake up so early is so that I can get all of these things done without being rushed or stressed. I like to take my time in the mornings without feeling like I don’t have time to get anything done before heading to work. I’ve learned that hitting snooze does nothing for me, so I hop out of bed as soon as the alarm goes off and know that I will have time to get everything done that I enjoy doing in the mornings.
