When Courtney & Tammie from Clemson Eye contacted me about a collaboration, I jumped right in! I had passed their gorgeous, newly constructed building many times and always wondered exactly what services they offered. When I first sat down for our meeting I was welcomed with cream filled pastries, cucumber infused water and the most delicious fresh fruit platter. I was excited to learn that half of their top floor of the building was dedicated to their Aesthetics team and that they offered so many different services that I had never even heard of!
Everyone was so friendly and welcoming that I immediately felt right at home even though I was pretty clueless when it comes to aesthetics. We discussed all of their services and Tammie asked questions about what I have done in the past and am currently doing to treat my skin. After learning about each of the services they offer at Clemson Eye Aesthetics we decided that our main mission was to erase sun damage, improve the appearance of wrinkles, bring back the youthful glow and prevent fine lines down the road! We decided since I was going to be traveling a good bit throughout the summer that we would start with a little preventative Botox to help with fine lines and wrinkles.
I’ll be honest, I always said I would never do botox. I don’t really know the reasoning behind this besides seeing a lot of botox gone wrong on reality tv back in the day. But after talking with Tammie I was confident that this was what I needed in order to help make my skin healthy and young after too many summers by the pool when I was younger and to prevent future wrinkles. I was nervous at first but when Tammie said that she was already done I was shocked. I didn’t even feel anything and it was over in what felt like 5 seconds. About 2 weeks later I could see the full results. I asked Tammie to make it as natural as possible, I still wanted a youthful look and wanted my face to move and to have all of my same expressions as before. After doing my first treatment I still have the same smile lines and expressions, I have noticed I have gotten a lot more comments about how great my skin looks and the deep lines across my forehead are gone (hello high school days). I have heard many different reviews on botox and while some people are against it I can honestly say that I am thrilled with the service, treatment and results that I have received. If you want to smooth out some fine lines, then I would suggest you call Clemson Eye Aesthetics for a free consult and then they can help you from there!
Below are a few questions that I was asked about the treatment, please feel free to send anymore questions that you have my way.
And be sure to scroll to the bottom where I have teamed up with Clemson Eye Aesthetics for a Botox Giveaway! One lucky winner will receive 20-30 units depending on your needs.
When do you start seeing results?
I started seeing immediate results the next day but the full results are typically seen at the 2 week mark.
How many units do people typically get on their first visit?
Most people start with 20-30 units, but this varies based on your goals.
How long does one treatment last?
Botox mechanism of action lasts about 3-4 month, If you are treated on a regular basis then the number of units typically go down after several sessions.
