If you have been following along for a while, then you already know that I love a fun printed dress that can transition easily into Fall! This year is different since I currently have a human growing inside of me! I have been on the hunt for flowy pieces that can carry me through the season while being flattering at all stages of my pregnancy (more on that below)! I fell in love with the color and print of this fun ruffle sleeve dress from James Ascher.
I just recently came across James Ascher boutique after a friend introduced me to it! James Ascher is located in Charleston, and as soon as I hopped on their Instagram to check them out, I knew it was going to be a store I would be able to find amazing pieces from at reasonable prices. My favorite part about their products is that they offer designer like quality and styles at great prices! They sell out of their styles really fast, so if you have your eye on something grab it up! I’m currently loving this new tiered ruffle hem dress, this black and gold metallic dress, and this fun shimmery wrap dress.

20 Week Pregnancy Update!
I can’t believe this past weekend marked week 20. When I noticed that I am over half way to my due date, I realized it’s going way quicker than I thought. Some of you have DM’ed my asking for updates, so here you go…
This past Tuesday we had our 20 week anatomy scan, which was so exciting because it was the first ultra sound we have had since my first appointment at 5.5 weeks. It was so sweet seeing her profile, her little crossed legs and knowing that she looks good and healthy and is growing at the rate that she should be (11 oz. to be exact).
As for my workouts, up until this point I have been able to do everything I did before. I did decide today that I am going to quit running until after baby comes, I started feeling like I got a side stitch the last couple of times I tried to run and it just feels uncomfortable since my belly is growing and with all the other cardio options, I would rather be safe and comfy so I’m going to switch my runs for my regular HIIT workouts, the stair climber and the elliptical – which I head read is great during pregnancy. My current favorite workout classes are: Booty Bar HIIT, Barre, and Bootcamp Classes, Peloton cycling classes + yoga, and Madabolic’s strength workouts. I am still currently working out or doing some type of physical activity 7 days a week and hope to continue to be able to do so throughout my pregnancy. I’ve noticed that it gives me more energy and helps my mood when I get in a good sweat each day.
As for symptoms, I have honestly felt so good throughout the past 20 weeks that I sometimes forget that I’m pregnant. The only differences so far have been my hunger levels (I’ve started eating small meals every few hours to keep from getting hungry and feeling sick). I also just started getting round ligament pain at night and sometimes during the day. This kind of scared me at first but my doctor reassured me that this is completely normal since my joints are stretching and there is a growing human inside. Other than that I haven’t really had any other symptoms. My energy levels have still been great and I think the workouts have definitely helped with that!
A lot of people have asked me about cravings and food aversions. I haven’t really experienced anything extreme but did notice during my first trimester I craved hummus and beans and lately I’ve been wanting potatoes but other than that I haven’t really noticed any other differences.
I am so excited to keep updating you as the weeks go on, and if you have any questions or advice, feel free to DM me!
