I can’t even begin to explain how happy and excited I am that the One Room Challenge Final Reveal is here! After a hard 7 weeks of work, it has finally come together and turned out absolutely Ahhh-mazing! I wanted to start of with a quick reminder of what all goes into the One Room Challenge and what it’s all about. The One Room Challenge is an event put on by Linda of Calling It Home and media partner, House Beautiful where participating bloggers take on the 6 week challenge to transform a room of their choice in their home. The bloggers share bits and pieces of the transformation each week until the final reveal. Make sure to check out each week from the beginning to see where we started and to see the Final Reveal (below) of my porch transformation right here today where I partnered with designer, Amanda Louise of Amanda Louise Interiors to take on the challenge.

After creating our mood board with pops of color and lots of textures our goal was to make the room very welcoming so that our porch could be the main place to hang when having guests over. We knew that in order to make it the room where we wanted to entertain, we needed the necessities including more seating, a bar cart full of delicious cocktail options and some fun color thrown around the room to make it all cozy and full of life.
We knew we needed good chairs that were comfy and would be perfect for outdoors. When we came across these natural colored Kenian Chippendale ChairsΒ they were perfect, we had Β this fun Om Confetti fabric from Tonic Living in mind to cover the seats, then added the perfect throw pillows from Larkin Lane Designs, Marquin Campbell, Β Anthropologie and Florence Broadhurst to toss in the chairs to mix up the textures and prints!
After letting our followers vote on their favorite rug, the winner was this NuLoom Moroccan Inspired Ivory Rug. Since we used so many different colors and patterns we agreed that this was the perfect fit for the room! We added this Target Gold & Wood Side Table for extra storage. We loved that the wood gave off an outdoorsy feel.
We took the basic gray mattress cover off of this World Market Indonesian Daybed and added this gorgeous handwoven rainbow striped fabric that we came across on Etsy. We were so thankful that our guy at Textile Supply came to the rescue to rush ship it to make sure we got it right in time. We fell in love with all of these pillows from Minimalist Shop, Marquin Designs, Larkin Lane & Anthropologie before we even choose the daybed cover. I knew Amanda Louise would be able to pull it all together in her creative colorful ways.
I already had these stools in my living room but we thought they needed a new home and when we saw a blank space that needed to be filled and room for extra seating we immediately pulled them out to porch and… just like that they fit right in with what we had in mind.
Β
We all know a room isn’t complete without the best accessories. So we added this Target bar cart full of our favorite cocktail options, some delicious Votivo Candles, gorgeous art from our favorite locals: Teresa Roche + Meredith Piper and some lush plants from Roots Greenville.
