Week 4 of the One Room Challenge snuck up on me out of no where! Where is the time going….before we know it I will be sitting in this finished room with the whole family for Thanksgiving dinner!!
As you can see in the past week our walls have had a major makeover. We have partnered with some of the most talented artists to fill my room with bold colors and beautiful pieces.
Each artist has such a unique style that completes the room perfectly!
I have always been in love with Leslie Weaver’s face paintings so I knew right away that we would be making a spot for one of her gorgeous pieces in the room!! We decided to do the frame matting in a color that complemented the colors used through fabrics in the room and in her painting. I am completely obsessed with how this piece turned out in the space.
We also teamed up with Kim Hassold to fill the walls with one of her bright bold floral pieces. This was a no brainer as the colors, textures and style was perfect paired with our Schumacher Queen of Spain Draperies.
Dorothy Shain is a local Greenville native who’s art I have been following since she first started. This mixed media piece is made on handmade Italian paper and was inspired by tiny islands and crystal clear waters.
Frances Kinloch of Kinloch Interiors and I chose each piece carefully after she mapped out the room and blank wall space. Now the empty walls are popping with bold colors and my happy place in our home!
I can’t believe we are almost to the finish line! Heres what we have to look forward to in the next 2 weeks, wish us luck…
