Finally!!! I have been meaning to sit down and write this post since I returned from the amazing Reward Style Conference in April. The last month has been crazy and pretty challenging. I feel like I have been in a whirlwind and super busy but this weekend I found the time to get in the bed and start typing away.
I can’t even begin to explain how excited I was when I got the invite from Reward Style to attend their annual conference in Dallas with some of the best bloggers in the world!! I immediately booked my room at The Joule Dallas, where the conference is held and started planning my favorite outfits for that weekend. I boarded the plane for Dallas (all alone, I don’t fly well and tried to talk everyone in my family into making the flight with me but they all turned me down). It turned out ok, I was so excited to get to Dallas that the flight actually flew by and I arrived Texas time at 7:30am! As soon as I got to the hotel I was already in love with the place. The guy that greeted me at the front of the hotel was absolutely amazing and showed me around the entire place. I had a lot of time to kill so I went straight to CBD Provisions for some delicious breakfast while I waited for registration to begin. (side note: get the Green Chile Pork Migas if you get the chance to check this amazing place out). Once all of the bloggers started rolling in, registration began (my check in outfit pictured above) and I met up with some of my blogger besties (Emily Helm from Life with Emily, Alex Carreno from Adored by Alex, and Kate Blue from For the Love of Fancy). We all headed to the Rooftop Pool Party hosted by Missguided, that kicked off the start of #rsthecon for a night full of meeting lots of new bloggers, sipping a delicious tequila concoction and then heading out for Mexican with some of my new friends! We headed in early to rest up for Day 2 of the conference.
I started Day 2 with a delicious room service breakfast because the girls that had been in the previous years told me to make sure to grab something to eat since there wasn’t much time for it once the conference began. We headed up to the ballroom for the first part of the day. Amber Venz, President of Reward Style, who is absolutely AMAZING, shared so much wonderful information about e-commerece growth as well as how to work with brands as a blogger. After Amber spoke we had some panelist share their experience with blogging and what got them where they were today. I was so excited to hear Mary Seng from Happily Grey and Louise Roe from The Front Roe speak and share their insight on the blogging world.
After the first part of the Conference we headed to a gorgeous lunch sponsored by Rodial. Everything was amazing and we got a fun goodie bag filled with their Dragons Blood Kit and illuminating powder that I now use every single day!! After lunch I headed to my 2 brand meetings of the day. I got the opportunity to meet with Mod Cloth and Sole Society, I was very excited for both since they are two of my favorite places to shop! It was great to get the chance to meet with the brands face to face and tell them a little about who my readers are, introduce them to my blog and just get to know each other. For Day 2 I decided to go with comfort and style since I knew that it would be a long day. I decided to wear this Misa Los Angeles striped shift dress from J Britt Boutique and paired it with this Dannijo Bib Necklace (similar here and here) to make a statement!
After a long day of meetings we headed to the Garden Party hosted by Joe Fresh!! The atmosphere was like a fairy tale with floral covered swings, gorgeous table settings and lots of tasty cocktails. I loved getting to meet lots of new friends at the event. After the party I headed out to grab some pasta with Alex, Emily & Jen at a wonderful little Italian restaurant right beside the hotel. See my Garden Party look below:
Day 3 was filled with lots of classroom sessions for me. I took a mobile photography class that was hosted by Yummer Time (they were absolutely hilarious and so entertaining) then headed to my next session which was a Brand Collaborations class. I learned so much on Day 3 and came home with so much more knowledge about blogging!!!
We ended the weekend with the most fabulous finale party hosted by LiketoKnow.it, It was held at the Winspear Opera House. The final night was the Party En Blanc so everyone was decked out in their best white outfit. The night was amazing as you may have seen on my snapchat: (jennyperone). It was an incredible weekend that I will always remember!!!
I hope to get the chance to attend again next year!!!
