I’ve been waiting a while to share this post with you all and after a long week of vacation I was finally able to sit down and knock it out! If you follow along on my Instagram stories then you probably remember a few months back, I partnered with Clemson Eye Aesthetics for Powder Brows. I originally mentioned Microblading because I had never heard of Powder Brows until I met with Courtney at Clemson Eye and she recommended Powder Brows for my skin type instead.

The Difference In Powder Brows and Microblading:
Microblading uses a hand tool to create realistic looking hair strokes in the browline. Powdered Brows are done with a cosmetic machine and help clients achieve more of a powdered or ombre look instead of individual hair strokes. Powdered brows have a soft makeup look and work great if you have oily or mature skin.
I had been doing some research for a while and knew that I wanted my brows to look fuller. I have always had thinner brows and the color of them is lighter than my original hair color. So, when Courtney mentioned the Powder Brows and discussed the difference in Microblading and Powder, I was all in! The procedure was quicker than I had expected! I sat down to discuss the colors that we wanted to use for my brows, then Courtney swiped a few different shades on my forehead so we could match the color closest to my original brow color. She then drew on the shape so that I could see exactly what they would look like after they were finished. I sat down for her to begin the procedure. She used the cosmetic machine to fill in my brows and create the perfect look. After reading about Microblading, I thought that it would hurt. Powder Brows didn’t hurt at all, it just felt like a little sting. After Courtney was done with my Powder Brows, she gave me a gel like formula to keep on my brows at all times to make sure they stayed hydrated and didn’t scab over.

Before my treatment, I had lots of questions. Scroll below to see the answers to the most common questions people have asked me since my treatment:
Does the procedure hurt?
Permanent makeup is not completely painless, but is generally not perceived as pain. Thanks to the latest computer-controlled equipment and anesthetic creams, there is minimal discomfort.
Who is permanent makeup suitable for?
Almost everyone! It is perfect for anyone losing their brow hair and shape or someone who just wants a fuller look.
Is the end result immediately visible?
No, the first week, the pigmentation is significantly darker than the final result. Within the first week of healing, the intensity of the color will become about 40% softer. Due to the natural cell renewal, the end result of pigmentation will be visible after a period of 3 to 5 weeks.
How much does it cost?
$675 for the initial treatment and the touch up.
How long does it last?
Powder brows will last about 2 years and depending on your lifestyle and how your body processes the pigment. It could last longer, but touch ups are recommended to keep the color fresh every 1-2 years.

I am completely thrilled with my final results. I never have to apply makeup to my brows anymore, which saves me tons of time when getting ready in the mornings. The final look is very natural and I have even had people ask my how my brows are so full and shaped so perfectly. I would recommend Powder Brows to anyone who has been thinking about having their brows done! If you have any additional questions feel free to email me or comment below.
