Activewear c/o C.O.R.E. | Sneakers c/o SheIn
First let’s start with the latest fitness apparel boutique, C.O.R.E., that recently popped up in Downtown Greenville! I know that I can easily get motivated just by throwing on some cute activewear pieces. At the start of January, I decided to add some fun new leggings and tops to my wardrobe and found that C.O.R.E. has everything you need to jump start your fitness routine. Aside from the amazing styles that C.O.R.E. has to offer, they also have yoga, pilates and C.O.R.E. classes for every level! Be sure to visit them downtown if you are local or check out their Instagram if you need something shipped!

Now onto the questions that I’ve had a lot of you contact me about – the Faster Way to Fat Loss Program that I started back in January. 2 weeks ago, I started Round 2! I’ve had lots of questions regarding the program and now that I have the first round completed, I feel that I am much more familiar with what I need to know about the program than I was a few weeks in.
For those of you that missed this round, don’t worry- the next round will start this coming Monday, on March 11, so be sure to go ahead and register here to save your spot! Also, be sure to send me your contact information and email after you sign up so I can make sure that we have the same coach! Below I am sharing some questions I’ve received about the program.
What is the Faster Way to Fat Loss?
The FWTFL is a 6 week program that includes carb cycling and intermittent fasting (I eat between the hours of 12PM and 8PM – 6 hours of eating and I fast from 8PM-12PM – 16 hours of fasting). You can adjust the fasting to fit in your schedule as long as you eat for 8 hours and fast for 16 hours. It also includes macro tracking in MFP. Every week you will have some Regular Macro Days, Low Carb Days and Low Macro Days. Once you register for the program they will share with you how to set up your macro percentages in MFP and what days to adjust your macros.
Can you drink wine?
Yes!! One thing I love about this program is that you can have your favorite treats as long as they fit into your macros. When I preplan my days, if I know that I will be drinking wine that night, I make sure to enter my wine in MFP first and eat around that. This article is helpful when it comes to tracking alcohol! I usually try to keep my wine to weekends only, unless I have an event or happy hour plans.
Where do you use a treadmill?
I have a membership at Planet Fitness which is only $10/month that I use a few times a week to do my sprint workouts. I also have a membership at KFP where I do most of my strength and HIIT workouts, and use my Peloton at home to do cardio and yoga!
How many days a week do you do low carb? Do you eat between 11am-7pm everyday?
I do low carb 2 times a week, I love that when you register they give you workouts to do depending on what type of nutrition day it is! Like I mentioned earlier, I eat between 12pm-8pm everyday.
What are your active recovery day workouts like?
For active recovery days, I do 45-60 minutes of jogging or a low intensity Peloton ride.
How and when do you treat yourself?
I usually treat myself with a favorite treat food such as waffle fries or frozen yogurt from TCBY on my leg day because you are working such large muscle groups. Sometimes I decide to treat myself with wine instead of food, it really just depends on my mood. Also, if it fits in your macros and you need that treat, go for it!
What’s your typical meal plan?
Everyday is different, so therefore I always switch it up. Some of the items I stay stocked up on for the week are: salad mixes, avocados, chicken, eggs, shrimp, brown rice, cauli rice, black beans, corn, fruit, peanut butter, sriracha ranch dressing from TJ’s, honey wheat pretzels from TJ’s, fruits and granola for acai bowls.

Do you have to do the workouts on the plan?
No, you are not required to do the workouts and I know a good bit of people who do the nutrition only and see amazing results. Although, I would recommend doing the workouts prescribed with the macros that day because it has made me feel so much stronger and have way more energy.
Have you lost any weight from the program?
During the program you are encouraged not to weigh yourself. I had so many people ask about weight, so when I was 5 weeks in, I weighed myself and was down 7 lbs. I haven’t weighed myself again because I wanted to jump right into Round 2 and keep it going. I will weigh again once this round is finished and update everyone!
Would you recommend this program?
Absolutely, I have done so many different programs and was tired of getting burned out and limiting myself to so many different foods. The last one I did was Whole 30 and it just wasn’t realistic to my lifestyle and I was so limited on what to eat and drink. I love this program and will continue to do it because I have learned so much about nutrition, I enjoy the workouts, I can treat myself and I’ve never felt stronger and more energized than I do now.
